Our Design-Build roots were established in 1994 with the vision of Dave Bird and his family. After identifying a need in the marketplace, Birdgroup embarked on a pursuit in Architecture and Construction. We started out primarily project-specific, Designing and Consulting for what became large Rite-Aid and grocery stores, carwashes, coffee shops, and many other retail businesses. In 2002, Justin Bird, son of Dave Bird, took over the company reigns and pioneered Birdgroup in a new direction while keeping its core foundations, focusing solely on commercial construction, tenant improvements, and retail development projects.

When the recession hit in 2008, we grew through the challenges. We diversified our projects and adapted to the changing marketplace. For many years, we were known as the “Tenant Improvement Specialists,” building relationships with real estate brokers, developers, and owners all over Southern California. We’ve kept our finger on the pulse of the construction industry and continue to use our experience as an opportunity to evolve into much more than just tenant improvements. We have established ourselves as the go-to company for anyone looking for a partner in their entire commercial construction project, not just an Architect or a General Contractor. We are the single-source solution for any mid-range development or commercial construction project.
